The link to the online screening platform will be provided on our website in the days before the film festival, to access the films please use the code you will receive after registering.
After your registration you receive a code via email you can use to get access to watch the selected films as well as the on the 3rd of October 2026 awarded films.
Normally you will be notified shortly, if you do not receive a code within 24 hours, please send a message to: mail@history-filmfestival.com
As it can be quite busy during the festival, we strongly recommend to register before the 1st of October 2026, but we’ll do our best to remain accessible. For more details concerning the online part of our film festival, please take a look at: HERE
Event Schedule
Online Festival DAY 1-2
1st and 2nd of October 2026
From the first day of our film festival all selected films can be watched on our website online, whenever you want, until the 7th of October 2026.
Discuss your experiences by getting in touch via our Facebook, Instagram and YouTube channels!
If you attend the onsite event on the 3rd of October 2026 get prepared by especially watching the films and sometimes also interviews from those filmmakers participating in the event to ask your questions to them in person!

Online Festival DAY 3
3rd of October 2026
On the third day of our festival, provided contributions from selected films from our four timeframe categories will be screened, but most notably interactive sessions between the filmmakers, experts from other areas, the festival organizers and the audience shall take place at our onsite event ina location with historical context.
Furthermore the winners of all prizes will be declared in front of the attending audience.

ON-SITE EVENT – DAY 3
3rd of October 2026

To register for our onsite event in the location with historical context with scheduled discussion opportunities with filmmakers, various live screenings and the award ceremony please use the same e-mail address as for the online version, but please just mention additionally that you would also like to come to our onsite event and which session you would like to attend to guarantee you a seating possibility.
If a seating possibility is not so important for you, you can also just come spontaneously to the onsite event without registration.
